I love Nelly Adler's stories; they are always so relatable, human, full of details, friends, and always so perfect. This one is about Nate and Piper; they both have had traumatic experiences in their past that have shaped them. They meet as he comes to her rescue center to foster a puppy, and the attraction is mutual as they meet each other amongst the puppies. There relationship starts small and it is all about showing up for the moments, for each other how they start to build up. But when his puppy, Beacon, suffers an accident, it brings past emotions for him, and a few more twists show up, and you will enjoy reading through the twists, the friendship, the feel of presence, the true love that is all over this story. A true great story.
